From simple sandwiches and jacket potatoes or sides like cheesy chips to main meals like Gammon steak, our "Banger of the Week", or Beer Battered Haddock. There is something on our lunch menu to accommodate any appetite!
More extensive than the Lunch Menu, we add dishes such as Minted Lamb Steak, Liver & Bacon, Nutroast and Chicken & Bacon in a Stilton Sauce.  All meals are freshly prepared, cooked to order, using local ingredients wherever possible.

Specials - A selection of Special menu items are available  during the Evening Service and all day on Sunday.  These change week by week, and there are never very many portions of each.  Watch out for the Rack of Pork Ribs - only for the seriously hungry!

We love Sundays at The Waterloo. There is a choice of at least two different Roasts, served in a 7" Yorkshire Pudding with roast and mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables.

"My wife and I and our two cockerpoos had been for a lovely 7 mile walk in the Hartington area and needed sustenance. Our usual place was closed and I found The Waterloo on Google Maps. Glad I did too!

I would describe The Waterloo Inn as a 'proper' pub. Beautifully kept Real Ale, and our meals were excellent. My wife had the roast beef and I opted for scampi and chips. Sounds simple, but it's amazing how often pubs get it wrong.

In a nutshell, nice environment, welcoming staff, nice beer, excellent food. What more could you wish for?

Ps. The menu is more extensive and includes dishes such as sea bass etc. Good looking desserts too... we were just too full to partake
